While I'm not talking from track experience... (let's call it experience gained
during "street racing"--when I was young and foolish)...

I can second the motion...  Champion plugs always ended up takin' a beatin'...
and still tickin'.... even in what was then a relatively full-race prepared and
often hard-pressed TR 4A motor... while NGK's... even the extra high dollor 
fancy
ones.... repeatedly failed or needed maintenance.
