RE: Bounds of tasteMan, I am way far from NASCAR type sponsorship. I =
got Wirsbo to pay for the food and admission for clients, with a few =
dollars left over for tires. I really don't want to see this =
commercialized either, but it seems that it already is. We put on the =
show with our cars and the track collects the money, and still charges =
for every little thing.
Oh, well, at least I get to race.

I have every intention of modeling my racing promotion after NASCAR. I =
think every FOT member should grow a nice potbelly, cut the sleeves off =
their shirts, and wash their Copenhagen down with Bud Light.=20
In a more serious note, I have consulted the rulebook and bylaws of =
the FOT, and discovered there are none. You're on your own.

A general question for the list:=20
How far can I go in creating a sponsorship arrangement for the =
MG-Triumph=20
challenge? The situation is this: I've finally convinced the company =
I=20
represent to kick in some money for the Mid-Ohio SVRA race effort and =
invite=20
some clients to the race, especially since my territory is Ohio and =
western=20
Pennsylvania. Two or three small logos on the car plus lunches and=20
after-racing-hours party in the paddock.=20
I don't want this to become like NASCAR, but I can't turn down =
sponsorship,=20
can I?=20
So it's now the Wirsbo/Bluemoon Racing/Triumph GT6. I have to =
practice=20
saying that anytime someone points a videocam my way.=20
I'd like to include the FOT decal on the car (or helmet) and the logo =
in=20
T-shirts we're having done for the occasion. Any problem there? BTW, =
I=20
could use a logo for my helmet.=20
