Specifically, the information I got was to use the MGB valves from the front
shocks. I surmise that this was a more restrictive valve. I just combined
this with 30 weight motorcycle fork oil which seemed to be a bit heavier
than the stock stuff I was using.
I may not be able to tell the difference, but it makes me feel better.

Hi,
I recall a recent Grassroots Motorsports article where JK Jackson showed
how to "re-valve" the shocks to work better. I forget what type of oil he
said to use, but I think with the re-valve, you don't have to use wierd
oil (like STP) and then you don't have to worry about seals and that sort
of thing... I'll look it up and post it if anyone cares, but it seems to
me the fix is basically to change to diameter of a hole in a washer or
something like that.
