Thumbs up on the HI-6 - I've got three in cars now and absolutely love them. I'm doing the ugly thing - triggering this fancy modern unit with points - but it works great. At some point I'll hook up a Pertronix Ignitor on at least one of the cars. On my 4A, I mounted it inside the driver's footwell, under and to the left of the master cylinders. I drilled four holes for mounting bolts; you can see them under the wiper motor. Pass those through grommets and mount the unit from the bottom. Very tidy, in cool air, all the wires reach, and the rev limit dials are easy to get to. |
