I agree. I looked all over in that 310 schematic for a voltage regulator bu=
t could not find one. I was surprised since almost all cars from those year=
s used voltage regulators to run the gauges.

Sounds like you have a bad fuel gauge. Just to be sure you can try groundin=
g the terminal on the gauge that the yellow wire goes to.=20
