You are just plain wrong with that comment on silicone based fluids. It =
may perhaps be true that if you get water in the line it won=E2=80=99t =
be absorbed by the brake fluid. How are you getting water in the line?

In fact, dot 3 / 4 is hygroscopic, which means it absorbs water. So =
actually dot 3 / 4 is actually much more of a culprit.

That was the first DOT 4 rated fluid I started using, probably 30 years =
ago, in brakes and clutch hydraulics.

Have to do some research for a successor. I would still avoid =
silicone-based fluid for any car that sits a lot. Water will collect and =
rust the line.
