Any suggestions on what would cause a Solex (late style with only a couple
thousand miles on them) to run fine on full choke, but be unable to stay
running with the choke off? I figure something may be blocked. For reasons
beyond my control the car received almost no use for a couple years. When
started occasionally it ran fine until this month. I siphoned out the old
fuel and refilled with new gas plus some dry gas to be sure. I blew out the
fuel line, replaced the fuel filter, and removed the carbs and cleaned the
jets, etc. The one thing I didn't remove is the float bowl cover because it
was stuck and I didn't want to ruin the gaskets unless I had replacements in
hand.
The engine has only a few thousand miles on a complete rebuild.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks / Dan
