I have a 67 1600 and have experienced the same complete failure. Check the
connection to the ammeter. I have had to replace my connectors to get good
contact, the gauge works fine and its original, never rebuilt.. Easy fix but
tight working under the dash.

Subject: [Roadsters] Dead dead dead
I just got
towed home from work. When I got to the office garage this evening my 1600 was
completely dead. No ignition, no lights, no radio, no nothing. B The battery
sparks very nicely, so it has juice.
I am assuming that it is either the
battery connection down at the starter or a bad battery ground. And I will
look at both this weekend when I can crawl around underneath.
If anyone has
any other suggestions please let me know so that when I'm getting dirty
Saturday I can look at everything.
Thanks
Gary Cohen
