Chinese air? Man, the only lead I want in my tires are the balance weights.
You could have found the NOS air on ebay.
I took some advice and posted a small canister's worth retrieved from the
innards of a Toyo 5.20-14 whitewall bias-ply, never been flat, never broken
off the rim, yeha !
Time remaining: 20m 13s
15 bids. 070622987
****cgk $520.27
***alvin $520.00

Hey, mine is all original, ... if you don't count the KA24, carpet and
seats, paint, and well, maybe a few other things! (:-) I couldn't find
any
NOS water for the cooling system so I used some Mount Shasta Spring water I
found at the local Dollar store. And the air in the tires came from a
Chinese compressor. Does that count.

This is almost TOO funny!
Whenever a "purist" in the Z / Roadster community gets a little too uppity
over how perfectly "original" state they've RESTORED their car to... I ask
if
they have Factory Air in their tires.
Admittedly, this might be seen as a bit "mean", but let's face it...
RESTORED
means it's no longer ORIGINAL!
If you insist on rubbing people's noses into the "originality" of your car,
it
better be a true blue survivor and not one that just came out of a body
shop
after a frame-off restoration. It may have been restored to original
specifications, with a lot of research into the appropriate parts for the
VIN
and date of manufacture, and therefore a beautiful example worthy of
praise,
BUT.... it's no longer an original survivor, it's a restored vehicle.
Sorry, I guess I personally prefer a well-kept SURVIVOR over a restoration.
Nothing wrong with a restoration, mine is one, but a survivor... mmmmm.
E
At least from '68 onward they came in a fine grain/ aluminum silver.
That's
based on several NOS spares I've had, with itty bitty skinny tread bias
whitewall tires, with original air !
