[Roadsters] Tuner/CD player Vertical mount?

List,
        Has anyone mounted a Tuner/CD player vertically in a tall windscreen
car? Do they even play cd's vertically? Don't see why not but thought I'd
inquire.  Think the biggest obstacle is the depth as there ain't much in a 69.
Thought about custom building a horizontal console for one but don't mind just
twisting my head once in a while.
