A nice thing would be if the valves are too tight. Make sure they all
have some clearance. Any possibility there was a clearance problem or
an over revving and a valve bent?
Is this a new rebuild, or was it running well for a while before the
problems.

in the first video, taken almost a year ago, the car is running
happily.
it ran like that for a month or so as i started to assemble wiring, etc,
then gradually got worse and worse.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItPnNEhYb7E
tonight i checked the compression. 0, 0, 90, 120
yeah. checked it twice.
so, what do you suggest? i know that if i put oil in the cylinder, that
will pinpoint it being rings. but is that likely? someone suggested
head
gasket. i checked the oil, and at least the dipstick oil is still honey
colored and nice.
anyone want to guide me on the next steps?
thanks . . .
