For anyone who may want to know:
The machine shop cut the seal portion off the valve seat, so the seat can be
used on the aluminum head, then machined the valve guide boss a little
smaller to fit a Chevy style positive seal.
I'm now good for .470" valve lift, with a good seal on the valve.
