The only problem I've had w/ scissor jacks is that they take forever to jack
up. Other than that, they work fine as long as they're on a solid surface
and not cocked.

I thought scissor jacks were the worst. Don't think I would want to use one
really. I like the mini floor jack idea. Maybe Summit has one. they have
everything else

I just grabbed a scissors type jack from the junkyard, all cars since about

1983 have them. I grabbed one from a Sentra from what I remember, because
the lug wrench was the same, and had a nice pouch. Turn it sideways in one
of the trunk wells and hand crank it to press a little and it won't move.
If you carry a spare tire, Saab and BMW have thiers packaged in a round
block of foam the fits inside the rim.?

I carry a very small, light floor jack. I don't trust the "dent maker" ones.
The extra weight is minimal, since it is aluminum. So it doesn't damage my
quarter panel, I keep it wrapped in a sheet of bubble wrap, down the fender
well beside the spare.
