I took the vintage race car (http://datsunroadsters.com/dats101.html) to
Summit Point yesterday. It was running pretty warm (usually does 200+) ; hit
220 and as I shut it down the temperature spiked, Had good radiator flow and
the water was definitely hot! Of course, I suspect a head gasket. No oil in
water or vice versa; and surprisingly the compression in all cylinders is
174 to 177 lb. I really hat to pull the head (it has studs and 'tain't
easy) and I'm looking for another test to confirm the inevitable. Any
suggestions??
