I for one could never get my brakes to work worth a damn, even with new
cylinders and good rotors, but that is just me. I did my own conversion to a
Maxima vented disc and the Toyota 4 runner calipers... ya, they are probably
heavy, but damn this car stops NOW and with no worries about fade on the
mountain roads I hit last year! Made the whole Roadster experience sooo much
more entertaining (and safe!).
I would love to hear about some of your racing stories some time Jerry...
maybe some day, sitting around at Shasta with a beverage of your choice...
would be fun!

I Agree with Paul. Never had much of a problem with the brakes on my CP SRL
which I raced in the late 60s - early70s. Ferodo DS11 material on the front
and Nissan green stuff for the rear. Of course the DS11 material was of no
use until warmed up. And I know they got real hot since I once boiled the
brake fluid in the pits at Bridgehampton after a long practice session
without a cool down lap! Wouldn't have mattered much in any case since the
GCRs back then didn't allow for brake swap outs anyway.
