Good morning List,
Just wanted to say thanks for all the info on the front fender patches,
brake brave and EI distributor. I now have the info I needed and have sent
emails to the appropriate parties.
I am still wondering if there is a replacement made by someone for the front
of the door sills though, specifically, where the fender bolts to the sill?
Or if someone has a neat (and cheap) way to clean these up, I'd like to hear
about it. Any experience with a fiberglass repair?
On the car we are repairing (I resist saying 'restoring' due to budget
constraints) the original nut inserts were rusted badly and, when attempting
to unbolt the fenders, twisted out with the bolts - they need to be replaced
or the fenders will have to be tacked to the body - something I was hoping
to not have to do. Maybe that's where the phase 'a little tacky'
originated??
As stated earlier, my son and I are reviving a 68 2000 roadster as his
Senior High School Project. The goal is to have a nice daily driver on the
road in the May timeframe. Guess the roadster I already own is the Baseline
for the project. Expenses are a constraint as I'm sure they are with most
on the list. We're having a lot of fun with it.
Thanks a bunch.
Sincerely
Jon Rider
