"Does anyone have a low windshield car with the holes in the
correct position so I can get some kind of measurement. And 2, has anyone
strengthened this area. I'm considering welding a metal strip on the inside
or welding some washers there to re-establish the correct mounting
position."
Hi Gary, I'm not clear which holes are elongated, however: -
The body has captive nuts welded on the inside.
The centre of these holes:-
2 1/4" and 8" from the very top tip of the flat door flange section of the
"A" pillar.
The windshield side frames have large holes with a crush tube inside the "U"
channel.
These centre of these holes: -
3/4" and 6 1/2" from the base of the support.
The diameter of the holes is 1/2".
This gives some adjustability since the fasteners are only 1/4" in diam.
Let me know if you want any pics.
