Not that our whopping 100+ hp cars will stress these, but... I was
told that when installing zerk-equipped U-joints, to position it such
that the zerk is on the 'compression' side. If you think about it,
of the four 'corners' on a U-joint, when the two stubs on the
transmission side receive power, two of these 'corners' are compressed
and two of the corners are stretched. If one of these four corners
has a hole drilled in it (for the zerk), then it is going to be stronger
being squeezed than it is being pulled.

Hey, maybe it was just some guy's rambling. But it makes sense
to me :-)
