Gadzooks this rain is terrible! But I tell you this: I have never driven my
roadster in the rain and intend to keep it that way :D
The entire week I was stressing over how lame I was to wash the car in a 1hr
window of rainfree bliss...and come back from the drive-to-dry just to
escape the downpour by seconds! Now it's time to wax. So last night I
managed to wax/buff the entire body except for the doors, and I was going to
go nuts if I had to drive it in the rain to get to the convention center.
Got the call today that we had to load our cars up by 7pm so I took off
early from work.
Lo and behold it didn't rain today, but the skiy looked ominous. I made it
to the show!
Here are some pics I snapped with my deteriorating camera.
It was very cool. Imaging driving your roadster through an empty shopping
mall! We are at the main entrance, by far not the largest area of the show,
more of a "sideshow".
The Toyota crowd and a bunch of GTOs were parking/prepping with us, most of
the other cars(show/prototype) will be be parked tomorrow and ready for the
Wed. opening.
So far we have a Zroadster, Zcoupe, Skyline, 2 240z, 1 Z32 TT roadster, and
a 280zx on the way.
I snapped some pics of a very hot AE86 with Watanabe wheels, electromotive,
mikunis etc. They even had VIP cars and drift cars too!
I'll be there tomorrow night to finish detailing the roadster and take
better pics, if you need free tickets(even though there only $9), let me
know.
