I've got a question for the group -
I had to replace my front wheel stubs and while I was at it I thought I
would repack both front bearings. When I got the hub assembly off, I was
AMAZED at how much grease was in there; I'll be it was a cup or more.
Now that I've got the hub assembly and bearings completely clean of grease
and dry, I'm ready to repack the bearings and reassemble everything. How
much grease should I put back in the assembly? Also, anyone have a
preferred grease they would use?
As always - speaking as the mechanical neophyte I am - I appreciate your
advice.
