Late model steering box torque

Hi Everyone,
 
First I would like to Thank everyone for their help during my project.
 
I am installing a late model steering box and I need your help:
 
1) How do you center the large splines before mounting the arm at the bottom?
 
2) What is the torque setting for the large nut since there is no cotter pin ?
 
I also want to thank Erik Smeby's for his instructions on the 311s.org site.
