Hey people infected with Roadsteritis
We were picking up my son's Z at one of his friends house and he had a
Sprite in the garage. I asked if he wanted to sell it and he said I could
have it and just pay him something if I find value in the car. The car is
in pretty good rust free shape, no top, has wind up windows, windshield
broken, Weber down draft, unknown running condition, seats shot, hydraulics
shot, no tail lights, minor dents ......
He calls it a Midget but has the Sprite emblem on the trunk so I think it is
a cross over year. It has been years sense I have messed with an old MG and
know nothing about parts availability. Anyone on the list up to speed on
these cars??? If I remember right, the transmissions were always a problem
and not cheap.
If parts are cheap enough I could fix it up for a little driver for my
niece. Could I put a Datsun 1300 motor trans in it? I have a complete
spare 1600 Roadster motor, 4 speed but I don't think it would fit.
