According to Washington's Department of Licensing (DOL) website, they will
honor and title a car with a Salvage title from another state, however,
Washington will also "brand" the new WA title as Salvage.
Yes, I plan on calling my insurance company (USAA) today. If they won't
insure it, I cannot buy it.
The number on the plate is SPL311-0799. I have asked the seller for the
frame and engine numbers.

it.... better check w/ your agent first...
May wanna check w/ dmv website - BOTH ca and wa - finding out *why* it is
salvage could be very helpful.

another thought... get the VIN and run it through the list... maybe someone
out there has some history on it.... on thing you'll find is that roadster
owners usually have the #'s burned into their brain... even if they haven;t
owned the car for many years.
