I'm still using the SU hose on my car after putting the Solex's on it.
The difference is that the solex hose is about 4 inches longer on the
engine end of the hose. The Water tube on the Solex manifold sits on
top of the manifold and thus higher than the water passage through the
SU manifold. You'll need to put a union (kind of a double ended hose
barb) in the SU hose on the engine end and then add a 4 inch or so
length of hose to make up the difference in length. Not a big deal.
