I once designed an alarm system using
door sensors, an alarm buzzer, and
solenoid controlled cans of CS Teargas
mounted under the dash on each side of
the car. I figured that way I might
actually find the culprit when I got to
my car. Unfortunately, or fortunately,
depending upon how a lawyer might look
at it, I never had the courage to
install this alarm in my car. I was
afraid that I might accidentally set it
off if I ignored the buzzer too long and
it shot off before I turned the switch
off.
I did have razor blades built into the
back of my car stereo (when I installed
fancy sound equipment in my cars).
These were intended to cut up the
fingers of anybody trying to reach
behind the radio and rip the radio out
of the plastic dash.

How about a 30/06 with a scope and
tripod so it's always aimed and a sensor
switch and transmitter to tell you when
something no good is going on.
