I can't comment for the '68, but in the 3 67.5's I have, everything was the
main color except for a small section on the dash where the air vents come
out.  That was black to match the dash (and the black went slightly
underneath the dash pad and under the windshield frame.)

They didn't seem to hit under the dash with any of the color--still primer
red.
