Maybe it's in your gas tank. Perhaps your fuel flow is being blocked. I
heard that has happened to others.

I would also advance the base timing to about 20* as my advance timing light
tells me at 16* at idle only gives about 29* at full advance. Bob Sharp
recommends 35* and I run 33*

I think it's a fuel problem but make sure the wires are not being cut by the
rotor. BTDT :(

Additionally, make sure your dizzy is working correctly. The vacuum advance
plates wear out quickly. Make sure the timing is changed by vaccum and your
dizzy is advancing mechanically too.

PS - A guy in a TR6 experienced the same problem in a Foliage Tour today. I
was the only Jap car surrounded by about 50 British cars. Blew a few away in
acceleration and that's with a bad camshaft :)
