Well, I came back in from the garage to say it's now shifting but I don't
know what I did to make it move.  I unbolted the tailshaft and then moved
the shift lever which then pushed the tailshaft up and away while pushing
the bottom fork down.  I bolted down two bolts and gave it a whirl.  All
positions now move freely.
