I understand how frustrating that can be, but unfortunately, that's the way eBay
wrote the rules of the game. It might have been more "fair" if the buyer could
just close the auction at any time and say, "Yeah, that's a good enough price.
I'll take it" But I guess that's what the "Buy it now" thing is.
I have a friend who bids on stuff regularly but always bids low. If he gets it,
he's happy because he got a great deal. If he doesn't, oh well...
