One option on the clips ( old trick for body side moldings) is to get some
clear vinyl tubing that has an ID that is a snug press fit over the posts.
Cut the tube into 1" long pieces with a utility knife or big scissors, and
press it onto the posts during installation. Worked great on our flat dash.
