Gotta toss my .02 in here...

I too just bought a complete U20 timing set for my 67 2000 restoration. It
cost me an arm and a leg but I was glad to get it. It was worth it to me.

Believe me at this point I am keeping the timing set that is in my engine at
the moment. Someday I may need it...

I think the thing that has us U20 owners so pissed is that we cannot buy the
timing set in pieces. And now there are so few of the NOS sets left that the
vendors are going to charge an even higher premium. That just is not
acceptable to me. Not because I blame the vendors- it's not their fault and
I understand their position-supply and demand.

What I mean is there has to be a way to repro these parts. I've known enough
machinists to know that if you give them a working model they can reverse
engineer it and build a suitable replacement. It's all about the money
investment needed to build it and I for one am interested in finding a
solution.

Call me crazy, but I am going to make it a mission to find someone with
vision to do this.

I'll keep you posted,

Andrew

Hi Vic,
I'm in it too!
Over here in Belgium we have a few 2000 in need of new timing
components.
And we have NO vendor over here, everything has to be order through
the US vendors.
