One-offs are expensive, but after looking at pics of the U20 timing sprockets,
I can't
help but think that they wouldn't be all that difficult to fabricate. In fact,
one could
probably improve on the originals. Cutting sprockets isn't a job for your
average
high-school metal shop student, but it ain't rocket science, either. Chains are
easy, so I
think that all of the sturm und drang about the demise of the U20 is premature.
One question that has popped up in my mind during all of the recent exchanges
re: U20
timing stuff is - what do the folks who race with the U20 do?
