On the rollbar there should be a number stamped by the SCCA or other racing
organization. There should also be a log book and tech stickers that come
with the car.
He can also contact various racing organizations that may be able to verify
its history to some extent, as well as former owners.
If none of the above can be verified i'ts probably a late conversion and not
as claimed.
The Watkins Glen library or the tracks may also have info too.
