If you plan on removing the hood often ?
(do you like to work on your car ???)
Once you remove the pivot bolts,
replace them with short clevis pins
when you re-assemble the hood to the car.
Makes future hood removal that much easier.
A word of advice, get a helping hand to remove the hood,
really saves on paint chips,
as the hood is just big enough to be awkward
for one person to handle & get free of the hinges.
