Daniel, Rebello is a very reputable co that builds Datsun motors among other things. If they did the conversion, then chances are they did a good job. What happened in the 10 years since then-who knows!! You might want to check the vacuum system out. On some types of brakes, if you have a leak in the vacuum system, you can lose the brakes.
