I don't know if anyone has ever seen an order picker but its a forklift that
has a raising platform with the forks and allows a driver to go up into
racking to pull product orders. It is powered by a 48 volt industrial battery
that weighe around 600-800 pounds. The driver has to be attached to a lanyard
that is attached to the machine. ANYWAY I was the service dispatcher for
the local Crown Lift Truck dealer and recieved a call from the business next
door reporting that their battery lifting strap was broken. I told them that
I had never heard of a battery lifting STRAP. A tech went to the business and
called and ordered a new lanyard. Seems that they were lifting batteries with
the drivers lanyard.
Long story for such a small finish
