Andy and Victor,
I have seen a few of the conversions and the late 260 and 280
US models are the better choice. Victor is correct that the
other markets had the 260 for years after our one year only
260.

The late 260 and the 280 have more reinforcement in their body
and doors. One reason why they were much heavier then the early
240's. They are also the cars most V8 conversions are done on.
They are relatively inexpensive and stiffer.

I think the US market 240SX convertible was the closest that Nissan
came to making a nice looking sports convertible .
