Wow,
I had never heard someone else with this problem. I also had it for several
years. I kept taking off the fuel line and blowing back to the tank. I was
on the road to alaska when it first started happening. I took off my tank
and had it cleaned and it worked fine for a while. Then it happened again. I
looked through the top of the gas tank and saw what appeared to be strips of
tape floating around. These peices kept blocking the uptake pipe in the
tank. After a couple more thorough cleaning, I have not hadthat problem for
about 10 years. I had always assumed that somehow someonehad put masking
tape in the tank. Slosh sealer? HMM I guess that is a
possibility. A very good cleaning should handle it.
