Just to throw some gas on this :-) While that does seem high, and I am not
saying the work is worth that, you do get what you pay for. Not all "balance"
jobs are equal, or at least some are more equal than others. You need to know
the specs of the job to be able to compare prices. What tolerance did they
balance to? How did they balance? Etc., etc.. Expect to pay about double for a
high quality balance job compared to what most machine shops will charge for
what they call a balance job.
