What about putting 14's on the driver's side and 17's on the passenger side
for improved cornering to the left? Larry.

I don't think a tire effects the lean of the car, that's the job of your
suspension. Higher cornering forces are possible but tires will not reduce
lean, UNLESS of course you're rolling on the sidewalls. A lower profile tire
generally has stiffer sidewalls and hence the feeling of less roll.
Since I did the GM one wire switch, I notice my signal lights blink

Yes. More voltage especially at a traffic light when idling.
