My total lighting set up draws 47amps by itself at this time.  It is all
relative to what you have on your car drawing power.  I have and need the
Summit GM 100amp.  A dead stock car only needs the 35 amps.

As I said before in other posts I run a Z alternator on my 66. It's rated at
55 amps and runs everything including my electric fan, fuel pump, fog
lights, headlights and heater w/o any problems. I had to modify it to fit
the alt bracket but that's a simple thing to do. The pulley aligns perfectly
too!
