I agree Ronnie, I grew up with Z guy for a Dad and you did have a few Z
elitest but they are very rare, I grew up driving Z's (even did drivers ed
in a 71 240) They are an incredible car I love them but it doesn't touch
driving the roadster on a pretty day the nice thing about old datsun's they
have class, character, beauty, and are just plain fun...as for the bikes...I
love ripping up some twisties up on my ZX-9..

I've been playing with these things for well over 30 years and the only
snooty types I've run into were a very few Z-Car owners, and they are
very few and far between. If they choose to look down on the "old and
lowly" roadster then they've not taken one for a country ride on a
beautiful spring day with the top down. I'll race my 510, but I'd rather
cruise in a roadster. No contest.
The only thing that comes close is a bike, but I'm way too old and too
fat for that. The days of tearing up and down PCH on a GPZ 750 are long
gone. And that's probably another mailing list, anyway.
