This might be asking a lot, but I wondered if anyone had a bunch of jets for
a 40mm Solex carb. To tune it up the manual says basically to try different
jet sizes while following their procedure. Well, this could cost a lot when
you don't exactly know how many sizes you need etc. And I need 4 of each
jet. If someone would trust me to return them (I would), I would be very
careful with them and return all back to you when I knew the right sizes.
There are 3 different "jets":
Main Jet 120
Main Air Jet 180
Pilot Jet 50
The number shown is the size in my carbs now.
Since my engine is "spitting back" out thru the carb throats at idle, the
mikuni/solex manual says that I am probably too lean. So need to go to
larger Pilot Jet. This is the first Jet I need to get right. Then go on to
the others.
I have made a stroker out of my 1600 block and head. So it is now a 2.0L,
with about 9.2 CR.
If anyone could loan me some jets near to the above sizes, or recommend the
correct sizes for my application, it would be nice.
