The B cam was the U20 Solex cam. No relation to 1600 cams.

What is a "B Cam"? I bought a new cam for my stroker and I think it had an
"M 42" written on it. Are these similar?

Subject: SU's and B cam?
Hey all..
I had to get a cam with my valve job. Which got me to thinking,
I don't recall anyone posting if there's any benefit to running a
B cam with SU's? I have gathered the SU's are a better choice for daily
driving, so am not contemplating carb switch. But I WAS wondering if
the B cam would improve the perf any with SU's? I assume that if it
did, it would be high rpm.
