Robert; First thing to do is make sure you have enough clutch fluid, and that the clutch hydraulics are completely disengaging when you press the pedal. Second is to make sure there is enough oil in the transmission itself. Other than that, the motor and transmission have to come out, and you may as well replace the clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bushing and whatever else while you have it out.
