Interesting theory... wonder if there is anything special about the
wiring of the 2L... there doesn't seem to be any major differences
though?   For a while I ran a 1600 engine in my 2000's body and ran the
same GM alternator with no problems...  My brother is getting the number
off the alternator on my 2L sometime this week, so hope to be able to
give everyone a solid answer on these alternator woes!
