Nathan,
When I brought back the 67 car from the dead, it had the ignition switch on
the left side of the steering column down low. You had to be Houdini to
start the car as you had to insert the key at an upward angle and then turn
clockwise. Pain.
So I had a new ignition switch installed and had a flange mounted on the
right side of the steering column just below the dash. Much easier to start
that way. The 70 has its ingnition switch facing the driver so I don't mind
doing it with my left hand. Sometimes depending on how the steering wheel is
positioned, I have to decide whether to go through the steering wheel to get
to it or under it. I don't mind. :-)
