All other things being equal, yes, there is. The problem is that all other
things are rarely equal.
Changing cams can have a major effect on the pressure reading you get when
doing a compression test.
A bigger cam with more overlap will reduce the reading quite a bit. Remember,
you're taking those
readings at cranking speed, not "engine-running" speed.
