Hey there... I have had the good fortune to be in contact with Alan Bent on this question. According to him (and the original owner's manual which acco0mpanied the car) the BW auto was a factory option. My vehicle i.d. plate clearly identifies the car as a 411 SSS with BW auto. as stock. When I saw the info on Alan's website I thought the car might have been dealer, converted, but I guess that automatics were very popular then, and Datsun hoped to take advantage of that. |
