Finally, (I feel like I've been talking about it for months) I am going to
swap my 69 2L setup into the 67 shell. I want to do it before I complete
the exterior body work and painting to avoid any scratches or mishaps.
My questions:
I am matching the 2L with the stock 1600 rear end. Is there a gear that I
swap from a 4-speed trans to a 5speed trans to make the speedo correct?
Can I keep the stock 1600 speedo cable or will I have to get a 5-speed
cable?
Are there any other engine wiring issues I should be aware of? (I plan on
using a single wire alt and know what that entails)
I'm still working on a plan of events, so I won't forget to do anything
while the motor is out--I'm sure more questions will follow.
